The Best Time to Post on Social Media

Right now you believe there is a right time to post on IG.

A magical window of opportunity to reach your collectors.

If you get it right.....success.

So you spend a lot of time wondering what the best time is to post.

You ask your friends what they do.

You watch some You Tube videos on the best time to create engagement and increase followers.
You second guess yourself, and ultimately shy away from posting as much as you want because you think you are doing it wrong.

The truth is, there is no right time to post...there is simply the time that you make right for you.

Instead of asking what time is the right time, a much more valuable question is...

"How can I figure out the best time for me?"

and even before you ask yourself that question...first answer, "What do I want the result to be of posting?"

The answer to these questions will give you a list of actions to take to figure out what will work for you and for you and your collectors.

1. Answer these higher-value questions

2. Create a list of things to try

3. Evaluate the results using a measurement that matters to your business growth.

Some examples of actions might be...

  • try posting when I feel most social, most creative, most energized, etc.

  • conduct an experiment where I schedule posts for different times and see which has the biggest impact on the measurable meaningful result [sales, email signups, etc]

  • pay attention to when it feels most fun to be on social media and post then

Stay curious and stay open during the process.

See what happens.

Learn from your actions and results.

This is what being the boss of your business is all about...and the more you decide to take control over the decisions that come your way and get curious and creative...the quicker you learn what works and what doesn't work for you.

Teresa Haag

I'm a gritty urban landscape painter.

My work is messy, and imperfect...just like me.

I work in oil on top of newspaper covered canvas because of the texture, depth, and chatter the newspaper creates below the surface.

I paint what I see, without any prettification.

It is what it is, and it’s perfect that way.

The running themes in my work are resilience, grit, and self-determination.

It doesn’t matter the hand we are dealt, it’s what we decide to do with it.
